How to Add New Matches

You can create new matches by going to  Matches > Add New in your admin dashboard.

The following instructions are enough to create an upcoming fixture.

If you are are updating the details of a match that has already been played you can also add the match result and match report and fill out the player lineup and stats.

Set Match Date and Time

The time and date of the match can be set by adjusting the publish date of the post.

Simply click on the  Edit link to open the editing features where you can update the date and time of the match.

Match Fixture

Home (Required)

Choose the home club from the dropdown list.

Away (Required)

Choose the away club from the dropdown list.

Match Details

Competition (Required)

Select the competition for this match. You can add a competition round in the appended Round field (eg. R2, Final). The competition will be used to filter match lists and standings tables.  Find out more about competitions.

Season (Required)

Choose the season for the match. The season will be used to filter match lists, standings tables and player stats to the correct season.  Find out more about seasons.

Team (Required)

Choose your clubs team that is playing the match (eg. Reserves). The team is used to filter the select players list at the bottom of the page and to assign player stats correctly after a match has been played.  Find out more about teams.

Venue

Choose a venue for the match. Check the box if the match is to be played in a neutral venue.  Find out more about venues.

Attendance

Enter an attendance for the match. The attendance can be displayed in the match page on the frontend of your site depending on your settings in  Club Manager Settings Matches.

Referee

Enter the name of any referees or umpires. The referee can be displayed in the match page on the frontend of your site depending on your settings in  Club Manager Settings Matches.

Match Preview

You can enter a match preview which will be displayed before the match has been played. Once the match has been played the preview will be replaced by the Match Report.

Match Video

You can add a video to be displayed in the match page on the frontend of your site.

Click the  Add Video link to reveal an input box in which to add the url of the media file associated with this match. Your video should be hosted on a 3rd party site like YouTube, Vimeo etc.
